Unblocking

I've never been much of a believer in "writers' block," but lately I've taken another look at it. I have always had a lot to say with my writing, going back to weird poems in junior high, being Sports Editor and Features Editor for my Clinton, Iowa high school paper, THE CLINTONIAN. Then on to college and grad school.

I have had some success (and lots of failures) as a writer, but I'm experiencing a dearth of ideas to write about. A new novel is stuck in the fourth chapter. And has been for a couple of months. How to get rolling again? This blog, these tweets? My advice to those suffering from writers' block has always been the same: Just write something every day and, even if it's bad, it might get the juices flowing again.

Perhaps I'll test my own advice. Keep posted for updates. Here's hoping it works and makes me a prophet.
