Since we all have more time to read, I'd like to start a regular element of my blog for all of you readers out there, suggesting books/authors I think you would like. This week I'd like to heartily recommend Ben Robertson, South Carolina Journalist and Author by Dr. Jodie Peeler, a friend and former college of mine at Newberry College. While this is non-fiction, it is a wonderful read about the life of a colorful and talented man who influenced journalism in his time, and years to come. He lived and reported from all over the world, and Peeler's presentation of Robertson's life reads like literary fiction. If you're from the Carolinas and Georgia, you need to read this book and enjoy learning much about his life and the times in which he lived. Of special interest was his experience during the Nazis bombing of London, which he witnessed on site.
