Our kitchen renovation continues. We have the demo done, painting completed, and cabinets in. Appliances on site with the refrigerator plugged in, but waiting on the kitchen sink and dishwasher (in the crate on the back porch). New countertops in by the end of the week. I voted for gold and black (Hawkeyes!) but was edged out by one vote. Lisa's. Plumbing next. We needed to choose a new faucet, so we stopped by the plumbing supply store's showroom. Multiple tubs on display, including one made out of copper, and several with shelves that slide back and forth so one doesn't have to reach for candles, wine, or the romance novel. We weren't there for bathtubs. We were there to choose one faucet, of which there were 3,459 choices. We walked out of the showroom with a faucet that cost more than a funeral in 1963.
